In the early days, COMPAGNIE IOTA was merely an idea shared among a small, restless collective of artists. We felt confined by the traditional silos of our respective fields. Theater often lacked the visceral, gravity-defying danger of the circus; circus sometimes missed the profound narrative depth of theater; and neither fully embraced the emerging, limitless possibilities of digital multimedia.
We sought a new vocabulary. A language that didn't exist yet—born from the friction between physical exertion and digital projection. The goal was never just to blend these arts, but to force them to collide and see what new forms emerged from the impact.

Our first rehearsals were chaotic, beautiful experiments in abandoned industrial spaces. We rigged aerial silks next to rudimentary projection screens, spending hours trying to find the exact millisecond where a physical gesture could seamlessly trigger a digital response.
It was artistic experimentation in its purest, most raw form. We weren't just creating choreographic shows; we were building a new methodology for movement-based arts. Every failure was a lesson in physics, light, and human endurance.
